Telehealth
Telehealth is the distribution of health-related services and information via electronic information and telecommunication technologies. It allows long-distance patient and clinician contact, care, advice, reminders, education, intervention, monitoring, and remote admissions. There are several types of telehealth including telepsychiatry and teletherapy or telemental health.
Real-time Teletherapy
Real-time teletherapy means real-time care between a therapist and patient at any time from anywhere. Real-time telehealth includes any two-way communications involving a connection via video conferencing and phone consultations, that connect providers and patients. Many psychotherapy models/orientations can be effective through the use of teletherapy services.
